The Army Medical Corps contains over 40 specialties, including internal medicine, neurosurgery, pathology, anesthesiology and psychiatry. As an Officer in the Medical Specialist Corps, you'll provide patient care, wellness education and injury prevention to people of all ages. Your prevention and education efforts will improve Soldier readiness, and your rehabilitation knowledge will help the injured get back on the road to recovery. The four disciplines that make up the Army Medical Specialist Corps are occupational therapy, physical therapy, dietetics and physician assistant.

As an Army Nurse, you'll be able to gain education and experience in such specialties as critical care nursing, medical surgical nursing, anesthesia nursing or community health nursing.

As an Army Veterinarian, you have the opportunity to utilize your professional training and experience in a wide variety of areas from three primary areas of focus: animal medicine, veterinary public health, food inspections and research and development.
