Since 2001, the U.S. Army All-American Bowl has showcased the nation’s premier high school football talent in an East versus West matchup of mental, physically and emotional strength. The Bowl’s history includes a growing list of prominent alumni such as 2007 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Adrian Peterson, Heisman Trophy winners Reggie Bush and Tim Tebow, 2006 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Vince Young, Tommie Harris, and Ted Ginn, Jr.

Currently, there are more than 100 U.S. Army All-Americans playing in the NFL, football’s highest level. A record 30 U.S. Army All-Americans were selected in the 2008 NFL Draft, including six first rounders – proving yet again there are more U.S. Army All-Americans on the verge of NFL stardom.

- The addition of Bush helped kick-start the Saints, who were 3-13 in the previous season. Re-energized by the electric playmaker, the team finished 13-3 and rode the momentum all the way to the NFC Championship game. Bush earned a spot on the All-Rookie Team by putting up 1,523 total yards. He factored into the receiving game with 88 receptions, the most ever by a rookie running back. Despite missing much of last season, Bush was still named All-Pro as a punt returner, highlighted by his incredible game against the Vikings in October, during which he returned two punts for touchdowns.
