hanks to the financial assistance she's receiving from the U.S. Army, Autumn currently studies real estate and economics at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and aspires to pursue a master's degree in business administration. She's also a nationally ranked boxer—currently ranked fifth in the United States women's 132-pound weight class and a member of the All-Army Boxing team. And like any active young student, she's almost always on the go, but enjoys the ease with which she balances her Army and civilian lives. She has ample time not only to study hard for her classes but to enjoy hobbies and a rich social life as well.
“I go to school Monday through Friday and have boxing practice in the evenings. The Army Reserve works really well with my civilian life, especially with my busy schedule.”
—Autumn Anderson
“I have my head on my shoulders, I’m determined. . .the Army has put me on the right path. I know I’m going to be successful, and the Army Reserve gave me that.”
—Autumn Anderson
But Autumn isn't a typical college student—as she puts it, she's "just a little different...in a good way." She's optimistic, eager to learn and takes her schooling very seriously. The training and leadership skills she's learning in the U.S. Army Reserve are allowing her to become more confident and driven than ever before.
