TONY GIBSON

CREW CHIEF

In 2009, Tony Gibson will call the shots for driver Ryan Newman and the #39 U.S. Army Chevrolet. Gibson, who has worked in the Sprint Cup garage since 1986, brings a level of leadership and teamwork that has been developed through years of experience in the racing industry.

He led DEI’s #8 Chevrolet to four top-five and 12 top-10 finishes in 2008, and understands how important a strong team is having been a part of three Cup title-winning teams with Alan Kulwicki and Jeff Gordon.
