CREW CHIEF

In 2009, Mike Green will handle the crew chief chores for the world championship-winning U.S. Army Top Fuel dragster which will once again be driven by Tony “The Sarge” Schumacher.  Last season, Green tuned the FRAM Top Fuel dragster as piloted by Schumacher’s teammate, Cory McClenathan. The Green/McClenathan duo finished third in the points after totaling one win in three final round appearances as well as eight semifinal round advancements.

A Sacramento, Calif. native, Green has almost 20 years of drag racing experience, working with many of the legends of the sport. He played a major role in Gary Ormsby's 1989 Top Fuel team championship and has since visited the winner's circle 39 times, 18 as a crew chief.
